How to play Hangman

A hidden word is shown as a row of blanks, with a category hint above it. Guess one letter at a time: correct letters fill into the word, while each wrong guess adds a piece to the figure. Reveal the whole word before the figure is complete — six wrong guesses and the round is over.

Tips

• Start with common vowels (E, A, O) and frequent consonants (R, S, T, N, L).
• Use the category and the letters you've found to spot likely word shapes and endings.
• Your wins and losses are tracked for the session — go for a streak.
